NECC CORVAIR CLASSIFICATION

Please read the NECC Classification Rules for Track Events (available at http://www.corvair.org/chapters/necc) and classify your car before coming to the track.

• Note the distinction between street legal and competition prepared cars with reguard to vehicle equipment.
• After reviewing the classification section of the NECC track event rules, enter the vehicle classification on the tech form.
• The table at the right is included as a required checklist only for Improved Stock (IS-n) cars.

Notes:
1 - A-arms and (rear) trailing arms only.
2 - Normally Aspirated cars only. Changes limited to bolt on only. The addition of TBI units or runners for a center mounted carb or TBI unit is permitted. No welding or machining of cylinder heads permitted.
3 - Turbocharged cars only. Changes limited to bolt on only. The addition of TBI units or runners for any single carb (including multiple barrel Weber, Holley, etc.) is permitted.
4 - No welding or machining of cylinder heads permitted.
5 - Incidental compression changes due to cylinder bore changes or cylinder head swaps are permitted.
6 - The maximum points for any ignition system including independent DIS is 15.
